Faerie World

Well, I am a person that lives in the "faerie" my brother introduced it to me in the form of Role Playing Games, that was my first peek in the realm of creation, I loved it, I got sucked in...
Reading wasn't one of my hobbys until I turned 18, which I don't think it was a bad thing, because I started reading at first all the books I've heard about that relate to a magical place, such as Tolkien's Hobbit, Silmarillion and eventually The Lord of The Rings, I studied his life a bit before reading his works, and that way I noticed his style, finesse and other things I wouldn't even considered as a kid. Classic literature facinates me, The Old Man and The Sea by Ernest Hemingway is a classic worth reading...

An adaptation of Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austeen, that is called Pride & Prejudice & Zombies , which changes a little bit the plot and such things, but still keeps the wonder years of the fixed marriage, and the process to womanhood that the girls go by, plus it adds a little apocalyptic action.

Anyway the thing is, in this world we can create, be and see anything we wish, and hope for magical things and good against evil. I think it is necessary a little fantasy in our world.

HISTORY OF EÄ

The One

Eru
“Illúvatar”
From the thoughts of Eru (in the elvish tongue “Illúvatar”) were created the Ainur with no sight, just hearing and with their voices singing from the thoughts from Illúvatar’s mind, that were bestowed upon them, together creating a sound that in their minds created images of a new world in the Void.

The Ainur
From the visions created by the Ainur’s songs Illúvatar created a New World in the Void for them, to shape it and create it as they had seen in their minds. Those who wished could descent into the world now called Eä (in the elvish tongue The Kingdom of Arda).

Melkor   Manwë    Ulmo      Aulë    Oromë   Mandos   Lórien    Tulkas

Varda   Yavanna   Nienna     Estë       Vairë      Vána      Nessa

These were the Ainurs that descended to the World created, and shaped as seen in their heads, after their task was performed the Children of Illúvatar were created, the Elves and the Man, the Elves call them the Valar and the Race of Man refers to them as Gods. From such high praise from the Children of Illúvatar they were named the Seven Lords of the Valar, and the women were named The Valier, The Queens of the Valar.
† † † †
Melkor was the mightiest of the Ainurs, followed by Manwë, but with his excess of power and influence given to him by Illúvatar, made him doubt the orders of his Lord this way in his mind he wanted to create new notes and symphonies more beautiful than all that Eru (Illúvatar) could ever create, so the first enemy of the World was created… but Manwë is a faithful and blessed worker, obeying all orders from Illúvatar, on the contrary of Melkor that could not love anything created by his brethren, all that happened inside of him was anger and jealousy, corrupting more and more his essence. Melkor was then a name that none dared to speak and amongst the Elves, the Noldors who suffered most in his grasp gave him a different name Morgoth, the Dark Enemy of the World
† † † †
Manwë, Melkor’s brother in Illúvatar’s thoughts, was the fairest and most obedient of them all besides the second in power and might, by this he became the First King of Arda, with his spouse Varda.

The Maiar
The Maiar are spirits from before the creation of Eä, that lived in the void, also created by Illúvatar for serving the Ainur, with their tasks of shaping the New World, there is no record of how many were them, but there were a few that were more significant than others of the Maiar. Being their servants, and in a larger quantity, Melkor the Evil of the World convinced some of the Maiar to join his cause against the Valar, in trying to destroy the work of his brethren (Manwë his true brother and the others), some of the Maiar loved the world of Eä so dearly that a few of them lived amongst the Children of Illúvatar some visibly others invisibly to them.
† † † †
Ossë is Ulmo’s servant, a Maiar, he lived in the shores of the world sometimes working without Ulmo’s command, commanding the waves and the tides of the shores and islands, corrupting his own essence, Melkor saw that and succeeded in bringing Ossë to his side, betraying Ulmo, but his wife Uinen, Lady of the Seas brought him to his true self and Ulmo forgave him from all his dark deeds.
† † † †
Amongst the Maiar there was Gorthaur, the Cruel or as called by the Eldar, Sauron, he in the beginning was one of Aulë’s Maiar, and gifted with the knowledge of them, but caved to Melkor’s side. Later becoming his captain, and later as powerful as Morgoth himself, but that is along the story of Middle-Earth to happen.

CHILDREN OF ILLÚVATAR

THE ELVES                                                 THE RACE OF MEN

The Elves
The elves are the most beautiful creation of Illúvatar, they live for the World and everything in it, they don’t perish with time, but only grow stronger (unless ten thousand centuries go by), they were loved by the Ainur by their resemblance, the love for Eä and always lust for knowledge, they learned much from the Ainur (Valar) and so when each elf journey in Arda is done, they return to the Land of the Valar, to later return, so happens equally when an Elf dies, he will become a spirit that may later return to the Kingdom of Arda. Illúvatar made the elves more like the Ainur in knowledge and lust for such, but not physically alike, that was reserved for the race of man.

unfinished...this is my understanding of the Silmarillion. The greatest work I've seen in quite some time. This is Tolkien's almost ignored LEGACY, a beuatiful piece of art.
